How this form of therapy can help you?
Identify and work through blocks in your life. Maybe you’ve been stuck, stalled, “in a rut,” unsure of the problem or how to move past it.
Sort your thoughts and feelings to get clear on what’s important to you. You think, and you think, you feel pulled in many directions, but you can’t figure out what’s wrong, missing or what your next step should be.
Create a plan of action. You’re clear about what you want but unsure how to get started or how to take that next move.
Breaking patterns get in the way of what you want and how you want to feel. You know what you want and have a plan to get there, but no matter how hard you try, you find yourself in the same situation again and again.
Stick with your vision. All the pieces are in place. You're clear about what you want, ahead of unhelpful cycles, and recognize that the work is ongoing and requires support to maintain and troubleshoot.
Hi, I’m Carla
Psychotherapist and intuitive guide
Founder of the Family Inventory Project and Inner Child Healing Program, a heart-led space for uncovering the emotional patterns we inherit and consciously shaping the ones we pass on.
I live in New Brunswick on Canada’s east coast, where the river and ocean are never far — and always calling me home. As a June-born Cancer and a Highly Sensitive Person, water is my compass, and sensitivity is not just my trait — it’s my tool. These elements shape how I show up: grounded, intuitive, and committed to the deep work of healing.
My path began with a degree in Psychology from the University of New Brunswick, where I first explored Religiosity, Spirituality, and Attachment in my thesis on well-being. I earned my Master’s in Counselling Psychology from McGill University, and later trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine and at the Natural Medicine Institute and certification in Kundalini Yoga through Kundalini University — all reflecting my core belief: that mind, body, and spirit are inseparable in the healing journey.
Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about collecting frameworks that are richly comprehensive in guiding us on the healing journey — from the psychological to the mystical. I believe that dreams are messengers, that the body holds our truth, and that the mind has the power to shape our lives. My approach is layered, soulful, and trauma-informed. Psychodynamic psychotherapy and inner child healing are the cornerstones of my work.
The Family Inventory Project was born out of a truth I see in my clients and myself: We are often carrying more than we realize — generational beliefs, inherited roles, and emotional stories that no longer serve us. This project invites you to get curious about your emotional legacy, to take inventory, and take meaningful steps toward the life you’re meant to live.
I offer one-on-one psychotherapy both in-person across the greater Saint John area and remotely across Canada. When I’m not in session, you’ll find me lifting weights, walking my two two pups in the woods, or cooking something soulful. Healing, to me, is a process of returning — to ourselves, to our values, and to the wisdom that’s always been within.
A little fun fact:
I am a weight-lifting foodie and a proud mom of two amazing dogs. I believe people with passion, perseverance, purpose, and love can impact this world meaningfully.
I believe that when people identify and remove their barriers to love, they unlock their power and start living to their potential.
Everyone struggles, but when we transform our pain into passion, seek support from a community, and develop the wisdom to evolve our suffering into something meaningful, we shift the scales in ways that matter the most and inspire others to do the same.
Standing in a space that nurtures oneself and challenges the status quo is essential for growth.
